Contribute to GSLRblog

The GSLR Blog is a discourse platform for legal scholarship on contemporary legal and governance issues. We welcome original article submissions that contribute informed analysis to public debate.

  • Eligibility and Scope

Submissions must address relevant and contemporaneous issues in law or public policy. We do not publish articles by individuals directly involved in the matter in a legal, representative, or advisory capacity (including lawyers, consultants, or employees of interested parties). Authors who have advised parties to the matter, such as by providing expert opinions or participating in proceedings, should contact the editors before submission.

  • Submission Requirements

Format and Length: Submissions must be 800-1,200 words in Microsoft Word format (.docx). This range is flexible at the editors discretion in exceptional cases.

Anonymization: The manuscript file must not contain author names or institutional affiliations. These details should be provided separately in the submission form or email body.

Form for Submissions: Submissions must be made through this form where the manuscript title and body must not contain any personal information of the author such as name and institution.

Expedited Review: For time-sensitive topics that may lose relevance quickly, authors may request expedited review by adding “Expedited” in their email subject.

Co-authorship: Up to three co-authors are permitted.

Abstract and Keywords: Include a short abstract (up to fifty words) and five keywords describing the article focus.

Author Bio: Provide a brief author biography and institutional affiliation in the email body.

  • Citation Format

References must be hyperlinked to keywords and phrases in the text. Use footnotes or endnotes only when hyperlinks are unavailable. Citations must follow OSCOLA (4th edition). Be precise in referencing, hyperlink to relevant statutes and judgments, citing specific provisions and dates in brackets.

  • Originality and Quality Control

All submissions undergo editorial review and may be reviewed by Editorial Board members. Submissions must be original work owned by the author(s). Authors must disclose if the work has been previously published, is under review elsewhere, or is subject to a publication agreement. Do not submit pieces under consideration by other publications.

  • Plagiarism Policy

Submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software. Plagiarism includes:

  1. Verbatim copying without proper attribution

  2. Paraphrasing without citation

  3. Self-plagiarism from previously published work

  4. Improper citation or misattribution

Plagiarized submissions will be rejected immediately. Authors will be barred from future submissions.
